Privacy policy

The short version: we collect nothing.

Last updated 2 October 2026

What the app does with your photos

Peel (formerly Collagearonis) reads the photos and videos you choose from your photo library, and the photos you take with its camera to make stickers. It edits them on your device and writes the result back to your photo library when you save or export. Working copies, your stickers and your books are kept in the app's own private storage so they can be reopened; deleting the app deletes them.

Nothing is uploaded. The app has no server. Your photos, videos, text, stickers, books and drafts never leave the phone.

What we collect

Nothing. No account, no email, no name, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no location. We have no server to send anything to. The app does not use cookies, and neither does this website: the look you choose on the home page is remembered in your own browser and sent nowhere.

One exception, on Android only. Background removal on Android uses Google's ML Kit, which runs on the device inside Google Play services. ML Kit sends Google basic diagnostics about the feature: the device model and Android version, the app's name and version, a per-install identifier, timings and error codes. Your photos are never sent. Google describes this in its ML Kit data disclosure. The iPhone app has no equivalent: Apple's Vision sends nothing.

Permissions

Photos, on iPhone. Requested so the app can show your library for picking, and save what you make. You can limit or revoke it any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos; the app keeps working with whatever selection you allow.

Photos, on Android. Photos are picked with the system photo picker, so the app never asks to see your library: it only receives the photos and videos you choose. On Android 10 to 12, saving asks once for storage access, because those versions need it to add a file to your gallery.

Camera. Requested the first time you make a sticker with the camera. The photo is cut out on the device and stays there. The microphone is never used. You can refuse the camera and make stickers from photos you already have.

Media & Apple Music, on iPhone. Requested only if you choose a song from your music library to play while you read a photobook. The song plays on the device, and nothing about what you listen to is recorded or sent.

Purchases

Template packs are bought through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles the payment; the app only learns whether you own a pack, and keeps that on the phone.

On-device features

On iPhone, cutting out a subject uses Apple's Vision framework and video collages are rendered with Apple's AVFoundation, both on the device. On Android, cutting out a subject uses Google's ML Kit (see the exception above) and video collages are rendered with Android's own media encoder, both on the device. Your photos and videos stay on the phone either way.

Children

The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date. It cannot get quieter than it is now.
